1. Atlantic Puffin

The Atlantic Puffin is the most common type of puffin. This bird is medium sized (it is the smallest puffin species), which means it is larger than a sparrow, but smaller than a crow. It has a colorful beak (which has a blue triangle at the base, which helps differentiate it from the Horned Puffin) and small wings that help it catch fish underwater. It spends most of its time swimming in the ocean but comes to the rocky shore for mating season.

2. Horned Puffin

The Horned Puffin looks similar to the Atantic Puffin, but the difference is that the Horned Puffin has dark spikes above their eyes, which is why they are called Horned Puffins. These birds use their wongs to propel themselves underwater to catch fish for themselves or their young.

3. Tufted Puffin

The tufted puffin is another type of puffin. This puffin is also crow sized, but it does not have a white belly like the other 2 puffins mentioned above. However, it is similar to them in the way it catches its food, which is by using its broad wings to glide through the water and catch the fish in there.

4. Rhinocerous Auklet (Horn-Billed Puffin)

The Rhinocerous Auklet is around the same size as the Atlantic Puffin. It has a distinct "horn" on its beak, grey body ,and white streaks on its face that make it easy to differentiate from other puffins. Unlike other puffins, it catches its prey (fish) by driving them near the surfae of the water and then catching them with its beak. Additionaly, Rhinocerous Auklets hunt for fish in groups, which other puffin species don't do.
